INSTRUCTIONS
The following section provides basic operating instructions for the IM10.
Power ON/OFF
- Power ON: Link the IM10 to a power source via the MDB port.
- Power OFF: Disconnect the IM10 from the power source it is connected to.
SAM Card Installation
- Unscrew the SAM card module cover to reveal the SAM card slots (2).
- Open the mount and insert the card into the slot with the contacts facing towards the IM10 unit and with the clipped corner of the card to the upper right, then lock the mount with the card inside.
Device Installation
- The back face of the installation should have 4 to 8 bolts corresponding to the mounting points located on the mounting bracket. Slide the mounting bracket into place and then fix it in place with 4 M4 nuts.
- Slide the IM10 into place. The back portion of the device should rest securely inside the mounting bracket.
- Secure the IM10 unit to its mounting bracket using 4 screws and washers.
CARD READERS
The IM10 includes the following card readers:
NFC/Contactless Card Reader
Orient the card of NFC device parallel to the LCD screen and then place it directly above the screen.
Code Scanner
Orient the code parallel to the code scanning camera and then place it directly in front of the camera.
CLEANING THE DEVICE
- Do not use industrial strength or abrasive cleaner as it may damage or scratch the screen.
- Do not immerse the device in water or liquid.
- Do not spray water or cleaner into ports.
- To clean the screen, apply distilled water or mild glass cleaner onto a soft, lint-free cloth and gently wipe terminal.
TERMINAL USAGE TIPS
- If any cables become damaged, seek a replacement.
- If there is any suspicious object, please report to the related administrator.
- Do not insert unknown materials into any port on the IM10; this may cause serious damage.
- If repairs are required, please contact a professional technician instead of attempting them on your own.
- Avoid exposing the device to an excessively hot, dusty, or strong electromagnetic environment.
- Do not vibrate, shake, or drop the device.
